We hope you all had a lovely mid term and a great Halloween. During the break we were delighted to hear that five of our students were recalled for the Toyshow. A big well done to Ella Dugdale, Aaron Coughlan, Niamh Dunne, Yvonne Kearney and Nicole Foy who were in RTE last wed. We are still waiting to hear who got picked but we wish them the very best of luck!!
To help fundraise for the Class Act Summer Show we are going to provide you with three great nights entertainment where YOU are the star.
If you are between 18 and 80 and reckon you have what it takes to be your favourite singing star this is the contest for you. Just like the Stars in thier Eyes tv programme you will be filmed in your everyday suroundings.
This will be pre-recorded and shown on the big screen on the night just before you appear transformed into your music idol! If you or anyone you know is interested all you have to do is contact the Stars in your Eyes Hotline 0877415068! You will be then asked who you would like to be. We will then provide you with your backing track and assist you in becoming your star.
Our end of year show is happening on the weekend of the 30th and 31st May. Our plan is to do a matinee and evening show on the Saturday and one evening show on the Sunday. Over the coming weeks we are going to be fundraising for the childrens costumes. Each child will be in between two to four items in the show. As there are 140 students taking part in the show, there is huge costs in the making, hiring and purchasing of costumes.
We are delighted that Class Act were asked to take part in the Clonmellon and Athboy Parade. The Clonmellon Junior B performed "Nicest kids in Town" which was fantastic, athe 8-12 age group from Athboy performed "Mamma Mia".
The parade went off without a hitch and we would like to thank everybody who came along and supported Class Act, we would also like to thank everybody who helped make the kids disco in Isaacs Well afterwards a great success. We're allready looking forward to next years parade.
Uniform Requirements
Dear parents,
we are now taking orders for the class act uniform. as always the tee-shirts are compulsory at a cost of €12.00 and is available in all sizes .We have a new zipped up hoody top at €23 and red and black dance pants at €27. please note dance pants are not compulsory but from September every child will be required to wear them.
All students must purchase black canvas pump's they must have them for the end of year show, these are available from Kiernan sons in Navan near Tescos entrance. If you wish to purchase the proper leather Jazz shoes or Cuban heeled tap shoes , you can talk to Damien or myself. We need to place orders for the uniform before mid tem therefore all orders and sizes must be given before 14th feb at the latest.

Children must wear tracksuit bottoms (any colour) and plimsole shoes / pumps. The pumps are black canvas ones which cost around €5.00, they have a non-slip sole and it are vital to see if feet are correctly positioned during dance class.
For the first few weeks children can wear runners until they have their pumps. Older classes will be asked to purchase tap shoes at some stage during the year. There will be a class t-shirt with the Class Act logo on it which all students must wear.
These will be available over the coming weeks for you to purchase. We also have hoodies which are optional. Please ensure the children DO NOT wear the following to class: Slip on shoes, chunky school shoes, Ugg boots, heelies, skirts / dresses or jeans.
